This cultural unit took on a mind of its own. Or maybe more accurately, I allowed myself to be flexible in what the students’ studied. I have a previous post about the proverbs that students created. In their final assessment, students chose a cultural story to create. As always, I am in awe of they create and where they allow their stories to take them.
*Some of the urban legends are very creepy.
I found out after the unit that many of the students went back, on their own, and read what their classmates had wrote. (Need to get them to comment on their own as well.) That is a true testament to this unit. Students were excited to see what others had accomplished.
