I am going to start by giving some personal background information. It will help to understand exactly how my final projected ended up being 3 different infographic resumes and a video. OK, here goes.

I AM TERRIBLE AT MAKING DECISIONS. I hate them. The more mundane they are the more I despise them. Take for instance grocery shopping. If you read the about me section, I love to cook. So, here’s my dilemma: I hate to shop. Shopping involves crowds and that’s right, decisions. I often find too many options overwhelming. While that may have been too much information, it gives insight into my “decision” making for this final project. Just do a few different ones. Never tried creating either infographics or iMovie. And while I hate making decisions, I love learning! Especially if technology is involved.
Here are my resumes:
My frustration with vizualize.me is that I couldn’t figure out how to embed this into my blog post. GRRRRGGGGH. I researched and looked online for answers only to come up with no solutions.
Visualize.me worked in that it was short, sweet, and straight to the point.
The next two I tried utilizing Picktochart.
As you will see in both of them. My skills aren’t highlighted but the focus is on my what I do outside of the classroom. That wasn’t intentional.
I later went back and fixed some of the skills, but they seem more like attributes though.
In the one I tried to design myself, I looked color schemes. I searched Pinterest for ideas of infographic resumes and viewed the ones I deemed “awesome”.
The one I designed myself is just hideous. I know this, but I am not a designer or graphics artist. I can appreciate those with so much more talent than myself, but it just didn’t work for me.

The template I used for the other one looks better than my other one. But here is where I found that I have no idea how to “sell” my skills. I couldn’t even think of what to write for the skills I posses. Surely, I have something to write down!?!

After reading How To Get A Job At Google Part 2, I focused on the area of attempting to showcase my accomplishments. Again, it was a struggle. Laszlo Bock, a hiring agent for Google, mentions that people don’t put the write content in their resumes. He states that one should list accomplishments and what was required of the person to get to those accomplishments.
iMovie is a killer. I realize how much work and effort goes into making a movie or even a clip. But for me and my undesign thinking, it was a constant battle. I am certain that iMovie won the battles and the war.
Update: Feeling SLIGHTLY better about iMovie after playing and exploring. Thankfully video tutorials are available.
Assignment details: Grade 7-Students completed a unit on identity. The picture is from a Happy Art project I found by The Fu. This project has people make a list of all the things that make them happy. The students presented this to the class.
Then, students wrote an identity essay for their final assessment. I pulled their beliefs from those papers.
